The wars of Antiquity cover a huge span of time, from the earliest conflicts in the Middle East, four millenia before the modern era, up until the beginning of the Medieval periuod. Blood of Kings & Heroes allows you to recreate battles from this entire period, in a way that is easy to learn and quick to play. The rules are designed for games at conventions and played remotely with Internet canmeras, producing full-scale battles which play to completion in 2 to 4 hours. The system is much easietr to learn that traditional Ancients games, but uses the same figure basing as many popular rukes sets.
Armies are typically made up of 5 to 20 units, consisting of a few hundred figures. The intended scale for these rule is 25/28mm, but they can e played in any scale by simple increasing the number of figutres per base, or modifying all distances. The larger figures are preferred, hoiwever, as they provide a more impressive display on the convention room floor and are more easily seem on the remote camera.
This system is not intended as a competition system, to replace games such as Art de la Guerre or the WRG equivalents. Instead, it porovides an alternative system which can use existoing figures, and be guided by their army lists, or beed to recreate historical scenarios.
The game app performs all calculations, giving players the choice to do their own dice-rolling or have the device do it for them. Initiative passes back and forth between sides frequently, to keep players engaged. The app itself is simple, with only a single screen (depicted below), and serves to speed play. It can be run simultaneously on more than one device for large games.

So marshall the phalanxes and hordes, and prepare to wash your blades in the Blood of Kings & Heroes!
